Dogs enjoying some splash time at Community Pool.

Bark N Splash was definitely a day that had “gone to the dogs.” People and their doggies enjoyed the group walk, contests, exhibits and, of course, swimming in the pool. One of the participants in the event was “The Dog Spot” Rescue, Rehabilitation & Rehoming Center. Meet Kate Montgomery, the brains and backbone of this local no-kill rescue group for dogs. Kate told us that starting the non-profit Dog Spot has been a true labor of love. She and her husband took their retirement money, meant for relaxation and travel, and started The Dog Spot, and they haven’t looked back.
